To ensure that you have the best experience possible and so that you have a safe and proper skip hire service please read our Terms and Conditions.
Skip Hire Permits
A majority of our customers will request a skip to be placed on private land such as a driveway or private grounds, however there may a situation where a skip may be needed to be placed on the public highway. Should this the case then in a majority of cases you will require a road permit. The exception to this is if the road is a private or an unadopted road.
Where required, a Road Permit will be charged at an extra cost. Also, a road permit can take upto 7 working days to arrange and organise and there is a limit as to how long it lasts.
In most cases, we can arrange the road permit for you. Simply call us on 0330 130 2775 for further information.
Choosing The Right Skip
Getting the right skip for your project can be tricky, especially if you have not hired skips before. The obvious factor when ordering a skip is how much waste you have to remove. The next consideration is also what type of waste too. Waste items such as soil, concrete, bricks and rubble or hardcore mix can be incredibly heavy and therefore there is a limit on the size of skip that can be used. As a general rule any skips larger than 8 yards are NOT permitted to be used for heavy waste types as our vehicles may struggle to remove them from site.
For lighter waste types such as paper and cardboard, wooden timber, metal, wood, plastics, clothing, any of our larger skip sizes are fine for this use. Our skips suitable for all sorts of projects from home renovation works to garden and home clearances.

In order to dispose of the materials above, you are required to contact your local council to seek further advice. They can advise you on how to remove and dispose of items that are not accepted in a skip such as those classed as hazardous or other waste types such as food or oil based waste.
* In some cases we can dispose of mattresses at an additional cost. Please contact us on 0330 130 2775 to find out more.
** Due to new guidance from the Environment Agency these items are no longer allowed to be placed into skips. Please visit this page for more information.
